“We worked with Mawr Design to design a play cafe, a completely new concept to our city. We asked them to design. a space that allowed for free-play for kids but at the same time felt cozy and inviting for parents...plus a cafe! What they designed is incredible and we loved working with them from start to finish. We are a start-up and they were very generous with their time and worked within our budget every step of the way. They explained every drawing, every piece of material and textile, every architectural feature, everything that was happening during the buildout ...we asked all the questions we possibly could (they are so patient) and their responses were always knowledgeable, confident, and she was always right! Mawr was our advocate always, and worked very closely with our contractor to be sure they were following the design. They recommended sub-contractors and was able to decrease our build-out budget significantly. We have been open for 6 months as of June 2015 and our guests (children and parents) use our space as we had envisioned them doing so, which says a lot for a new design concept. Mawr is still involved in our space and donated her time to update our chalkboard wall. Yes, they are illustrators as well! As a cost conscience small business owner, our design investment with Mawr Design is something worth every penny. Not a week goes by that a guest does not ask who designed the space or ask about some design element in our space."
